Job Description:

The IT Helpdesk support position is a new support function servicing the rest of the company (internal support). The company is expanding and we need a candidate with IT flair that will be able to help our employees with common IT problems. The support function will service our three offices in Dubai, Denmark and Ukraine and you will report directly to the Operations Manager.
The position is offered as a part time job (½ time) and a company mobile phone will be issued. You will be working from our office in Dubai.

Responsibilities:

Answering questions from our IT-hotline (telephone / e-mail).
Helping employees with misc. IT issues.
Installation and configuration of employee laptops
Fixing hardware problems on servers and laptops (contacting vendors when necessary).
Contact 3rd party support hotlines when necessary.
Administration of e-mail accounts and configuration of e-mail programs for employees.
Assist in configuring new software systems, network, etc.
Assist in configuration of firewalls (hardware / software).
Verifying correct implementation of company''s IT procedures.
Management of Sharepoint server.
Writing installation guides for software used across the company''s offices.
Monitering servers from all offices.
Continuous verification of correct backup.
Software license management.
Education and Qualification
Relevant IT education or experience.
Successful candidate is not likely to be an expert in all above fields. Relevant training will be applied where deemed necessary. The most important attribute is that the candidate has a broad IT knowledge/interest and is able to find solution to common IT problems independently.
